Introduction to AutoResponders and Email Marketing

Nigel here again, I hope you’ve been keeping well and today I’ve got a lot to share with you all, so let’s get started.

Today, I are going try and explain that all important question of what is an auto-responder and for those who have been dabbling your feet into it, and want to know why   your recent 10,000 or 20,000 email campaign flopped, then you’ll want to read this.

Firstly what is an auto-responder – to put simply, it is a program that you can use to capture the name and email address of the people who visit your website site. Your auto-responder can then be used to follow up with your visitors automatically with follow-up emails.

Think of it like an automatic robot that helps you to manage your online address book, except rather than you having to writing the name and address manually on an index card, or typing it out into a database or spreadsheet system, the auto-responder does everything for you automatically.

Technology Vs Psychology Marketing

Hope you’ve been all keeping well, now last week we discussed a little about human psychology and why we need to get good at providing “Values”, thus in today’s blog post, I’m going to tie everything up with why regardless of whatever happens to technology, this human psychology stuff still rules without a doubt.

Firstly we must understand that most online marketers (people who sell or promote stuff on the internet) focus on technology – i.e. google marketing…Facebook, twitter, blogging, email marketing, banner advertising etc… which technically sounds exotic to the untrained ear, however sooner or later, they’ll wonder why the failed.

The reason is that technology is like a band aid solution, it’s a temporary solution to a problem and as you know, technology changes daily, thus one single change and you are screwed.

For example, people who want to find something on the internet tend to use things called search engines, think of it like an index to the internet, and the most common include Google, Yahoo, Altavista, Bing, just to name a few, but what people don’t realise is that these websites use complex algorithms and equations to list and rank each individual website for a particular search term or word.

The Only Thing That You Need To Learn About Marketing

How’s everyone today, I feel much better now, having  gotten rid of the “man flu”.

There is nothing more important than possessing the skill of knowing what people want to see and hear, in order to get them to take action, and buy something either from you or from someone else.

I.M. the Wrong Way – Marketing – Pt Deux

Dear fellow reader, friend and fans,

Hope you’ve been all keeping well, I unfortunately on the other hand have been stuffed up for the past few days, perhaps “man-flu”, I dunno.

Anyway, here I am wrapped up in many layers, and although I don’t have a mirror right now, but I probably look like a yeti, especially with my duvet around me.

So…. where were we last week… oh yes…. Marketing, and I said previously, it’s very simple.

You see…. Marketing is about good salesmanship, it’s about knowing what your customers needs and wants, how to provide a product or service to supply their needs and demand, understanding that when you get your customer, how to keep them and promote the benefit of whatever your selling to such an extent that they want to throw cash at you and much, much more.

Just like that cliché that you may have heard Sir (*or is it Lord now*)  Alan Sugar shouting out on “The Apprentice” (does he even still say that – haven’t watched it for two years now – lol)

So… last week, I talked briefly about internet marketing, well, today, continuing on the theme,  we will discuss the

Now if you’ll excuse me in advance, the views of today’s article may seem a little harsh at certain points, so I’m apologising in advance first.

So, without further ado, let’s get started-

“Back to the basics”

The truth about internet marketing is that the reason why most people fail, is because, everyone is being taught the wrong way. You see, internet marketing is not about learning the latest traffic strategies, such as visiting other peoples website and leaving comments in the hope they will return the favour, or using some fancy software that will get lots of people to view your website or like you or your company’s profile on some social networking site, in the hope they may buy something off you.

What is Internet Marketing – The Actual Truth!

Dear Reader and fans

I hope you’ve been all keeping well, and if you were in the UK, what did you think of this year’s firework display in London? I personally still think that the display of 2012 was the best.

Anyway, let’s begin, and the first proper blog post for this year, i.e. 2014, is I first want to clarify some things and that is…. we’re going to be talking an awful lot about business, marketing, and making money online, but there is one thing that is really bugging me and that is …. what the heck is Internet Marketing?

Sure, there’s probably already a handful of hands in the air waving and stating that it’s facebook, web 2.0, twitter, instagram, pinterest, etc…..

Funnily enough, for those who are still catching up, did you know that “Internet Marketing” is simply just a term to define “marketing on the internet” and it actually has nothing to do with all the complicated things that other marketers, so-called experts, guru who preach methods about using Google, SEO, Page Ranking, Facebook, Twitter, branding yourself etc…. putting photos of yourself having a good time, standing next to flashy expensive cars, jets or yachts and surrounded by glamorous looking people of the opposite gender.

2014 – Plan of Action

Dear fellow reader and fans,

Firstly, I hope that you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas, I know I did.

From having to get up at 8am in the morning and drive 100 miles to a visit a temple, chant and sing and few prayers, before driving another 100 miles back and then cooking christmas lunch in the evening, I must admit it was a largely eventful day. The weather held out nicely, shame there was no snow though, nevertheless, in the presence of family, it was nice.

All things went well, until this year, we decided to let my younger open the bottle of bubbly.  Ooops… moments after handing him the bottle, the next thing we knew after he came back from outside, was that he ended up with a black right eye… ouchies.

Anyway, in the spirit of Christmas, we all laughed it off. Nonetheless a good Christmas. What about yours? I’d love to hear any stories that you would care to share with others.

Now… on a more serious note …. the raison d’etre of today’s blog post?

Well… starting from today, I’ve decided to make myself accountable to you, my dear reader and fans, followers and friend, by listing what I intend to do in 2014.
